I hate wasting food, so I’m always looking for ways to reduce, reuse or recycle the food, especially when it comes to my precious sourdough starter!
I often use the discarded sourdough starter and make up a batch of pizza dough & freeze it for when I want to use them.
Simply thaw, roughly 30 min, pending weather and you are ready to top.
Drizzle a bit of olive oil, a load of fresh minced garlic & herbs, sprinkle of sea salt flakes, bake @ 290c or 554f till edges are brown & bobs your uncle π.
By using the natural fermentation of the starter, no yeast is required ππ».
Sourdough is also easier to digest and very nutritious compared to some of your normal bread.
