You Just Don’t Know Where You’ll Find Inspiration.

Where do you get your inspiration?

You know when you see a food post and you’re instantly drawn to it, and you have this urge to get into the kitchen and make it?

Well that is what happened to me when I saw Laur @locavorephotogray’s virtual curry post on instagram 😍😍😍.

The beautiful colours of the ingredients, the rendezvous of textures from those aromatic, fresh and dried ingredients, followed by a gorgeous stream of light that creates a tantalising dance of tones, teases you with the curiosity of what deliciousness is being created.

When Food Can Evoke Feelings

I’m one who loves a visual feast and my mouth was simply watering.

It is as if I can smell those beautiful aromas in my home, and all I needed to complete this visual experience was a exquisite bowl of curry.

So I did 😋.

I seriously didn’t intend to photograph this.

As I was prepping dinner, I saw those colours, textures, and the moody shadows cast from the cloudy day outside, and I just had to snap the moment.

I simply popped the ingredients I prepped on my concrete floor, and snapped away.

Looking at this image, it is so strange, that although the image is different, I can’t help but feel like there are a few unintentional similarities.

So this image, I must credit you Laur, because your beautiful post must have steeped deep into my heart and inspired me to accidentally recreate a similar version 😅.

Has this happened to you before? Do you ever feel like your work is maybe not quite yours, or am I just over thinking things?

Well my lentil coconut curry, and vegetable loaded spicy biryani went down deliciously well, thanks Laur for the dinner inspiration 😂.

You can check out the end result of the curry in my stories.
