So You Want To Know More About Winkyfarm?
Well, Winkyfarm is a one woman show.
My name’s Dianne, I’m a mother of three children, two fur babies, and three feathered ones. I love to cook and photograph delicious, healthy and sometimes cheat day worthy food for my family.
I’ve been a creative soul for as long as I can remember, always tinkering with a new hobby, be it photography, making personalised cards and invitations, sewing, or just picking up my chosen medium and put colour to paper.
These days, I’m finding myself more & more in my two favourite spaces of my home, the kitchen and the garden.
Whether it be throwing together a simple green smoothie or putting my heart and soul into a 10 course degustation with all the trimmings.
Or in the garden, getting my hands dirty, connecting with Mother Nature.
Channelling my creativity through, gardening and food is therapy to my mind, body and soul.
I find it gives me a good outlet in amongst a busy work & family life, keeping me sane and my families tummies full.
Finding that inner peace, where it’s just your imagination and hands, methodically working together to create something beautiful.
Finding My Center
The artist is the creator of beautiful things. To reveal art and conceal the artist is art’s aim. The critic is he who can translate into another manner or a new material his impression of beautiful things.
After working tirelessly for nearly 20 years, during all 3 pregnancies, on all my holidays, weeknights and weekends, I was burnt out.
So after my 38th birthday 2017, I decided to do something for me and handed in my resignation, started focusing on my physical and mental health, and adopted a plant based diet, cold turkey (no puns intended).
Surprisingly, I loved it!
Every day I’m learning so much about plant based eating, nutrition, ingredients, compassion , the environmental impact, and thought I’d share the love here, so others like you, who are interested in plant based eating but not really sure how, can find some inspiration here 💚.
And funnily enough, this lead me back to an old creative passion of mine, and that’s styling and photography.
The photography and styling brings it all together, like the cherry on top, or the dusting of icing on the cake.
I’m so glad I made the change and re discovered my passion.
Giving my creativity an outlet.
Taking in the story, the emotions, the experience and express them through visual story telling.
Being in the garden, growing my own food, in the kitchen, cooking up something delicious.
Feeding and nourishing my family, and being able to capture the essence of it all brings me such love & joy.
And I’m ever so grateful to those who entrust me to capture that same essence.

So The Winkyfarm Journey Begins
So the Winkyfarm journey begins. I’m not sure where it will take me but I thank you for joining me along the way.
And I hope my recipes and photography, left you feeling full, inspired and wanting more.
Oh, by the way, did I mention I’m also a very loving wife?…lol
This is dedicated to my wonderful husband Matt, for without his encouragement, support and belief in me (even when I don’t) these beautiful images wouldn’t be here today.
