Beautiful quince.
Phew, the last couple of days have been deep π€π€π€.
So letβs pare back and go back to the simple things.
Knobbly, fuzzy, and somewhat the uglier relative of the apple and pear family, makes the quince, the often overlooked fruit.
Raw, itβs hard, tart, acidic, and sour. But once cooked, the colour changes to a beautiful soft pink to deep red.
The texture is soft and silky, the tartness mellows out, and the sweet fruity aroma just fills the air, making quince proof, that what really matters, is invisible to the eye ππ.
What Really Matters, Is Invisible To The Eye
I’ve been doing some slow living a bit lately, and have been playing around in the kitchen too find a delicious way to cook these, so I hope to share with you some quince deliciousness soon.
