I’ve been soooo busy this week, with visitors, gardening, bread making, recipe testing and on top of that, you know, exercising my creativity with the eat, capture, share, photography challenge.
Gah I’m too tired to write 😴, so here’s a picture of a cute little sea otter floating in the middle of the ocean, that is the gulf of Alaska.
These guys are sooooo cute and have got to be one of my faaaaaaavourite animal.
During a day cruise sightseeing the Kenai Fjords in Alaska, 1 hr in and we were far out in the ocean, far away from land.
Do a 360 and there is no land insight, nothing but the majestic snow capped mountains far off in the distance and the crystal clear glacier waters in between.
And, as if out of nowhere, you see this tiny spot floating up and down in the distance.
Upon coming closer, you realise it’s just ONE random sea otter floating on its back, in the middle of the ocean, minding it’s own business, doing a little dive, then giving it’s face a quick wash, before going back to floating without a care in the world ❤️❤️❤️.
Taking in the spectacle of this cute little creature, I can’t help but wonder, where’s its family, where does it sleep, how deep does it have to go to find food, does it eat fish, how long will this otter float for, does it even go on land, how long has this otter been floating in the middle of nowhere, is he or she lonely 🤔, and how can I get a pet sea otter…🤣🤣🤣.
I Can Day Dream About Sea Otters All Day
So, when the captain said it was time to go, a humpback whale was spotted, I couldn’t help but feel a bit sad for leaving this cute little guy out in the middle of the ocean, as it slowly drifts out into the abyss of the ocean.
The scene then turns to black.
Oh, well look at that, looks like I did have the energy to write after all…😅
I guess that’s what cute little sea otters in Alaska can do to you 🤣.
Now I’m really pooped.
Whale spotting on the cruise in Alaska, and how I thought I was going to die will have to wait for another time…😅🤣😘
Have a wonderful weekend my friends ❤️❤️❤️
